Architectural photography can be a great way of exploring and documenting a city, whether it's your home or on holiday. Its about capturing not only the design and accurate representation of a building, but to have the shots be aesthetically pleasing to the viewer's eye. An architectural photographer makes pictures, not takes pictures.

In this session, we will be covering how to better understand Architecture photography and we'll be looking at ways to take some impressive shots and the camera settings to use.

Macro photography is a unique form of photography that involves photographing small objects to make them look life-sized or more significant in the photo. The usual subjects include flowers and small insects, which we don't normally get to see up close with the naked eye.

The class will start when the insects are more active. So be ready to explore and capture breathe-taking macro images.

This piece was created after a representative from St Vincent de Paul contacted me asking if I?d like to donate to their annual fundraiser. I chose this with the idea of possibilities that are presented when volunteering your time as does this charity. The butterflies represent freedom with encouragement as the glass is a beginning for flight

This is my granddaughter who plays the oboe in the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony. She's about to leave in a couple of weeks to study music (oboe) at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Here she was playing a piece of music in her mind before playing it on the oboe. She was a delight to paint.

Title or Location: Her Charming Glade
Her charming Glade was created solely based on the image of this wonderful woman searching for love. The elements of this three dimensional piece, subject, background and floral foreground, all came from different sources. Each piece is hand, cut, and layered to create three-dimensional depth and realism. She is looking for magic, so I found an ethereal background that looked as if magic could be found. I pictured a Glade with a beautiful garden where she feels loved. The piece is meant to insp

Title or Location: Don?t give up
Events occur early on in life. Children process these events in different ways and they become overwhelmed. My grandson went through a difficult period in his family that left him sad and withdrawn. I wrote this poem and painting to let him know he would be okay in time, just don?t give up because pups see only today, tomorrow things change and often in ways that surprise us.

This image was hand drawn and oil painted on a 12x16 canvas sheet. It is in memory of a baby Squirrel that myself and my teenage daughter raised years ago. We called him Icarus.I was Veterinarian Technician at the time and my daughter actually grew up to be a Veterinarian. Such laughs we had with that baby Squirrel!

My husband Brenton and I took off just before Christmas to the mountains of the Great Dividing Range, following the Snowy River to the ocean. I took a thousand photos, but wanted to paint one of the stunning memory images I bought with me when I returned home. I love to travel with my husband and paint wherever we go.
