Caroline Heckman
Hi everyone! I'm Caroline, a Pittsburgh-based artist specializing in acrylic portraits, hand-painted apparel, colored pencil, marker art, and digital creations. I've always been creative, but I truly embraced my passion in 2019, shortly after a cancer diagnosis. Art has been a solace during difficult times, providing catharsis with every piece I create.
My art reflects my life's journey, each piece telling a story of an emotion or experience. My goal is to unite others through my work, reminding you that you are not alone.
I've showcased my art at various festivals, including the Millvale and Northside Music Festivals. I've participated in exhibits with Redfishbowl Studios and curated my own solo exhibit at Point Five Gallery in Etna. Currently, I work with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, delivering art lessons to elementary students.

When I'm not in my studio, I enjoy spending time with my friends and my cat, playing video games, reading, and going outdoors.

I am thrilled to meet you and share my craft! :)

Title or Location: "Coffee"
This drawing is a tribute to the only true addiction in my life. I started drinking coffee at 12 introduce to it by my similarly addicted mother. As the working stage of my life began at 16 it was a welcome companion every morning as I stumbled around getting to work. At 17 I worked shifts at a local airport and was introduced to a old Pittsburgh labor tradition, strong dark in the pot coffee from dubious sources. That toughened me up and helped me to make the transition to a real man. I am now

Title or Location: Golden Hour
This painting is called "Golden Hour." It's a celebration of the beautiful light of sunset in summer. It brings up the feeling of quiet solitude - even in good company you find the crowd is quieted as they take in this beautiful spectacle. As you connect with this painting, let it remind you of your own golden hours?those precious, quiet times when you feel most at peace and in tune with yourself. Let it inspire you to create more of these moments, to seek out the light and warmth in your ow

Title or Location: Corncockle
The Corncockle, also known as Agrostemma githago, is a wildflower native to Europe. I chose this subject because my passion is painting watercolor botanicals, and because of my family?s Polish and Slavic history. This pink-and-purple flower is gorgeous, but toxic when disturbed. I hope I conveyed its beauty and its freedom in this rendition.

Title or Location: Where there is hope
Death has claimed many of our loved ones. We accept it as natural , a part of the cycle of life. I strongly believe in the creator of all things, The Alpha and the Omega, God who intended man to live forever. We have hope, based on the value of the greatest ransom paid to release us from this cycle. Our hope, my hope, that under the Kingdom of His son, Jesus, the resurrection hope will become a reality. For it a man sees a thing then the hope has become reality. My family, siblings and friends

Title or Location: Moroccan rugs and cushions.
This is a gouache painting on watercolour paper and measures 6x4ins. Our theme in art class was Moroccan markets and this particular scene offered colour, architecture and sunshine without the heaving masses. I shall attempt a crowded scene next time.

Title or Location: And so, my love
I have had some luck with abstracts in the past, but got away from them when pet commissions and nature-oriented subjects filled my days. Recently, however, I found myself looking for something different, and I was inspired to get back to this very different way of painting. I'm having fun again! This is one of a series that is coming together, interpreting the emotions of love and longing. I hope you enjoy it, and will check out my web site, and perhaps join my mailing list! LeePerrault.com

Title or Location: Heartache
This is the third of my abstracts in what I'm hoping will be a series called "A Woman's Life". I'm trying to express emotions through the composition, colors and the attitude of the subject. This is a very challenging project but I'm seriously enjoying it and I hope that other people will enjoy viewing what I come up with.
